Detailed Overview of the 2026 Program

Module I: New Moon Rasa

The first module invites participants to see a yoga practice through the lens of story. Participants learn to frame the “plot” of a class, class series, or workshop according to relevant folklore and practice sourcing vinyasa kriyas from the old stories. The first module includes significant instruction on subtle body anatomy, particularly the nine chakra and 3 Celtic cauldron systems. Participants work with archetypes, as energetic containers of meaning, to inspire their asana and body prayers and learn to weave the art of storytelling into their asana classes.

Module II: Full Moon Rasa

Inspired by the energies of “fruition” or the climax of a story’s plot, the second module invites participants deeper into philosophies of the folkloric body and holds space for them to create their own body prayers and “asana stories” based on the themes of initiation, mythic intelligence, and yoga practice as “rite” or ritual. Participants learn to tell several initiation stories through kriya, asana, breath, and guided visualization to support their students in self-transformation.

Module III: Dark Moon Rasa

Inspired by the waning and dark moon, the archetypes of autumn, and the “ever after” of a story, the third module invites participants to apply their understanding of the work we have done thus far and further integrate narrative intelligence with asana teaching practice. Participants work with “shanti rasa,” the Tantric Actions of “letting go” and “grace,” and isvara pranidhana or “laying your practice at the feet of god.” Participants work with our final archetypes and name them teacher, concluding our work by presenting their Bones & Folklore Project during our final immersion.

What to Expect

Attendance at the live immersions is required, but a full recording of the immersions will be posted the day after the immersion ends for your reference. The immersions will be held between 10am and 3pm ET and include necessary breaks. It is strongly recommended that participants keep up with the weekly lessons so they do not fall behind.
